The twenty-sixth August 1783, after the publication of one bann canonically made and without opposition, considering the dispensation of the other two dated yesterday, verified and insinuated the same day and the necessary papers, I, undersigned vicar, betrothed and have given the nuptial benediction to JEAN FRANCOIS HAVARD, son of deceased Jean HAVARD and deceased Jeanne Bernardeau, aged twenty-three years; judicially decreed, native of Saint Donatien on the one hand; and MARIE BOUDROT, born and baptized at Bristol in England the eleventh of September 1761 according to the information of the father and of Marie Boudrot, her aunt, both present at the baptism, daughter of Jean Charles Boudrot and deceased Agnès Trahan, resident as well as the groom of our parish, on the other hand. Witnesses of the present marriage, residence and liberty of the parties were: René Godet, uncle; Prudence Godet, wife of Gruaud, aunt of the groom; and for the bride other than the father, Marie Boudrot, wife of Terriot, aunt; Joseph Terriot, cousin of the bride, all of Acadian nationality of whom only Joseph Terriot signed. The others as well as the parties have declared not knowing how.
