Daryl LaBine10947 lists the birth place of Joseph Nelson Guidry as Caminadaville, Jefferson Parish, LA while the baptismal certificate for Joseph Nelson Guidry is from St. Joseph’s Catholic Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, LA. 11598,11599 Although these two records may appear to contradict each other, they probably are consistent. Caminadaville was located near Grand Isle, Jefferson Parish, LA and was very near the Lafourche Parish-Jefferson Parish boundary. The only way to the existing world from Caminadaville was through Lafourche Parish. It is quite likely that religous records for inhabitants of Caminadaville in the early and mid-1800’s were registered at the Catholic church in Thibodaux, Lafourche Parish, LA as this was the closest Catholic church available.
