“ Francis J. Frankhouse, 65, of 8456 E. Dunbar Rd. died of cerebral embolism at 2 p.m. yesterday in Riverside Osteopathic Hospital at Trenton. He was admitted to the hospital Sunday.

Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the Allore Funeral Home and at 9 in St. John Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8 tonight and tomorrow night.

The son of Louie and Rose Frankhouse, he was born Aug. 7, 1896, at Monroe. He married Mabel March Sept. 5, 1915, at Monroe. He served in World War I. An employee of River Raisin Paper Co. for 35 years, he retired last August. He had worked in the box department of the company. He was a member of St. John Church.

He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Sidney, Ralph and Donald, all of Monroe; 5 daughters, Mrs. Eunice White of Toledo, Mrs. Ralph Edwards of Portland and Mrs. Robert Grodi, Mrs. Robert Poupard and Mrs. Robert Shock, all of Monroe; a brother Louis of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. “8265

“ Mrs. Mabel Frankhouse, 74, of 8456 E. Dunbar Rd. died of an apparent heart attack in her home. She was found dead in her home at 12:30 p.m. yesterday by a son.

Friends may call in the Allore Funeral Home after 7 tonight. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home and at 10 in St. John’s Catholic Church of which she was a member. The Rev. Joseph Perkowski will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8 p.m. tomorrow.

The daughter of Sydney and Stella March, she was born March 2, 1899, in Paulding, Ohio, but had lived most of her life in Monroe. She was married to Francis J. Frankhouse Sept. 5, 1915, in Monroe and he died March 12, 1962.

Surviving are 3 sons, Sydney, Ralph and Donald Frankhouse, all of Monroe; 5 daughters, Mrs. Frank (Eunice) Johnson of Toledo, Mrs. Ted (Bernice) Ingraham of Ionia, Mrs. Robert (Lillie Rose) Grodi, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Poupard and Mrs. Robert (Janice) Shock, all of Monroe; 2 brothers Grant March of Monroe and Carl March of Connecticut; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A son and two grandsons preceded her in death. “8338

ERIE - Services have been set for Lillie R. (Maggie) Grodi, 79, of Erie, who died at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday at Mercy Memorial Hospital’s emergency room, Monroe. She had been ill for a year and seriously ill for six months.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the Allore Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, Monroe, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. James Jacobs, chaplain at Mercy Memorial Hospital, Monroe, will officiate. Burial will be in LaSalle Township Cemetery.

Born Sept. 13, 1926, in Monroe, she was the daughter of Francis and Mabel (March) Frankhouse. She married Robert L. Grodi on March 19, 1946, in Bowling Green, Ohio.

A homemaker, she enjoyed fishing and crocheting.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert F. of Monroe; a daughter , Terry (Arling) Mayo of LaSalle; two brothers, Ralph (Pearl) of Temperance and Donald (Eunice) of Monroe; two sisters, Terry Poupard and Janice Shock, both of Monroe; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Sidney and Carl, and two sisters, Bernice Ingrham and Eurice Johnson. “8337
