“ Services have been set for Edward J. Duvall, 78, of Monroe, who died at 6:48 a.m. Monday in his home. He had been in poor health for two years.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Earle Little Funeral Home, Bacarella Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Roy Sutherland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
Born Feb. 18, 1922, in Monroe, he was the son of Lawrence and Josephine Duvall. He married Ann M. Practor in 1960, in Monroe. She died Feb. 6, 1999.
A die-setter; he worked for Ford Motor Co.’s Woodhaven Stamping plant, Woodhaven, for 25 years.
He was a lifelong area resident and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are two sons, John of Monroe and Dean of Luna Pier, and four grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence, and a sister Beatrice Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. “

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate. Earle Little Funeral Home, Bacarella Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
Born June 3, 1942, in Monroe, he was the son of Edward and Ann M. (Practor) Duvall. He was engaged to Dina Gomez of Monroe.
He served in the Air Force, July 23, 1959, until Jan. 31, 1964. He enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are three sons, James (Kathy) of Newport and Gregory (Katherine) and John, both of Monroe; a daughter, Lori Younglove of Monroe; a brother, Dean of Luna Pier, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. “

“ Mrs. Lawrence W. (Josephine) Duvall, 58, of 460 N. Roessler St. died at 8:30 a.m. yesterday is University Medical Center at Ann Arbor. She had been ill six months and in a serious condition three weeks.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Allore Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 tonight and tomorrow night in the funeral home.
The daughter of Julius and Josephine Bogedain, she was born Nov. 20, 1904, at Maybee. She was married to Lawrence W. Duvall June 7, 1920, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Maybee.
Mrs. Duvall had lived at Monroe 42 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church.
Survivors are her husband; a son, John of Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Leo Johnson of Monroe, two brothers Louis and Martin Bogedain of Maybee; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Werstein of Maybee and Mrs. Arthur Bomia of Monroe, and seven grandchildren. “

“ Lawrence W. Duvall, 69, who lived with a daughter, Mrs. Leo Johnson of 1264 Arbor Ave., died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday in Toledo Hospital, Toledo. Mr. Duvall became ill at his daughter’s home and was take to Mercy Hospital, Monroe, then transferred to Toledo Hospital. He had been in poor health since 1963.

The son of William and Clara Duvall, he was born July 26, 1900, in Monroe. He married Josephine Bogedain in June 1920, in St. Mary’s Church. She preceded him in death in April, 1963.
He had lived in Monroe all his life and was employed 47 years by the Union Camp Corp., retiring in 1965. Mr. Duvall was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are a son: Edward J. Duvall of Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Leo (Beatrice) Johnston of Monroe; a brother, Roy Duvall of Monroe; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. “
