LaBean, Marie L. Pinconning, Michigan Mrs. LaBean, age 82 years, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Bay Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born in Linwood on December 5, 1923 to the late Hiram & Rosina (Seyuin) Rivard. She married Eldon LaBean on June 6, 1916 in Pinconning. He preceded her in death in December of 1982. Marie worked at Purtell’s Dairy and in later years she made crafts and was known as the ‘Angel Lady’. She also, was very active in the Pinconning Area Schools were she was a ticket taker at the home sports events. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, St. Anne’s Altar Society, and League of Catholic Women & Men. Marie enjoyed dancing at the Lincoln Road Hall. She is survived by four daughters: Christine & Jim Zanotti, Yvonne & Paul Zadonia, Ranae & Jerry Ratajczak, and Sheryl & Ronald Offenbecker; grandchildren: Angela & Jim Fleming DO, Michelle & Brad Eaton, Anthony Zadonia, Rachelle & Aaron Gibbs, Ryan & Tonya Ratajczak, Rhona Ratajczak, Matthew & Kim Offenbecker, and Adrianne Offenbecker; great grandchildren: Gavin Gibbs, Isaac Eaton, Alex Fleming, and Walker Ratajczak; brother and sisters: Joseph & Gloria Rivard, George (Bud) & Eileen Rivard, Betty Rivard, Theresa Roman, Adelaide LaBean, and Joan Fleming; her dear friend and companion, Ed Janowicz. She was predeceased by her brothers: Ernest, Richard, and Arthur Rivard; a sister, Laura Rivard; brothers-in-law: Ernest Michalski, Ed Roman, Harold LaBean; sisters-in-law: Opal & William Crystal and Annette & Joseph Greanya. We wish to thank the nursing staff at Bay Regional Medical Center, 3 East for the wonderful care she received while in the hospital. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. from St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak presiding with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. The St. Anne’s society will say the Rosary at 3 p.m. Tuesday and a Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. On Wednesday Mrs. LaBean will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials for the Family’s Wishes. Lee-Ramsey Funeral Home Pinconning
