LEWISTON - Gloria Ann Henry, 68, a resident of River Road, Livermore, died early Friday morning, Dec. 10, 1999, at d’Youville Pavillion where she had been a patient for two weeks.

She was born, July 19, 1931, in Livermore Falls, daughter of Peter and Carmelle Lebine Castonguay, and attended St. Rose of Lima School in Jay.

On April 11, 1955, she married Raymond Henry of Jay at St. Rose of Lima Church.

She was homemaker most of her life and had worked in the local shoe shops and the glove shop in Livermore.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and enjoyed reading and also talking with her friends on the CB radio where she was known as “Cream Puff.”

Survivors include her mother of Livermore Falls; her husband of 44 years of Livermore; two sons: Peter and Paul of Livermore; nine sisters: Lorraine Cote of Jay, Patricia Nadeau of Livermore, Margaret Williamson and her husband, Earl of New York, Theresa Maranda of Livermore, Louise Nollette of Livermore Falls, Claudette Lemelin and her husband, Alcide of Livermore, Jacqueline Mercier and her husband, David of Livermore, Anita Couture and her husband, Gilles of Livermore Falls and Pauline Dion and her husband, Alex of Jay; three brothers and their wives: Roger and Irene Castonguay of Jay, Rene and Anita Castonguay of Jay and Paul and Carol Castonguay of Livermore; and several nieces and nephews. “9875

“ Camelle A. Castonguay

LEWISTON - Carmelle A. Castonguay, age 100, a lifelong resident of Livermore Falls, died Thursday evening, March 8 at the d’Youville Pavillion where she had been a patient for three years. She was born in Livermore Falls on Feb. 2, 1901, the daughter of Joseph and Emelda Gendron Labine. She attended the local schools of Livermore Falls.

She married Pierre Castonguay on May 26, 1924. They made their home in Livermore Falls where they raised 10 daughters and three sons. Mr. Castonguay died on July 31, 1977.

She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and a member of the Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting slippers for the family.

She is survived by nine daugthers, Lorraine Cote of Jay, Patricia Nadeau of Livermore, Pauline Dion and her husband Alex of Jay, Margaret Williamson and her husband Earl of New York, Claudette Lemelin and her husband Alcide of Livermore, Anita Couture and her husband Gilles of Livermore Falls, Louise Nolette of Livermore Falls, Theresa Maranda of Livermore and Jacqueline Mercier and her husband David of Livermore; three sons and their wives, Roger and Irene, and Rene and Anita all of Jay and Paul and Barbara of Livermore; a sister, Gabrielle Labine of Livermore Falls; a son-in-law, Raymond Henry; 57 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. LEWISTON - Louise A. Nolette, age 66, a resident of Fayette Road in Livermore Falls, died Friday, June 11 at St. Mary’s Hospital following a short illness.

She was born on September 4, 1937 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Pierre and Carmelle A. Labine Castonguay. She was a 1955 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

on July 18, 1959 she married Gerard Nolette at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. The made their home and raised their family in Livermore Falls. Gerard passed away on October 4, 1992.

Louise had worked for many years at the parish of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, retiring in 1998 with over 29 years of service and later worked part-time for Maurice Moreau at IDS, American Express Financial in Jay. Louise was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella since 1986.

Louise will be remembered for her great sense of humor and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano, gardening and traveling.

She is survived by a son, Michael Nolette and his wife Lori of Readfield; three daughters, Lori Slovak and her husband Tom of Livermore Falls, Lisa Case and her husband Ted of Auburn, and Elaine Zappala and her husband Brian of Freeport; three brothers, Rene Castonguay of Jay, Paul Castonguay of Livermore and Roger Castonguay of Jay; eight sisters, Jacqueline Mercier of Livermore Falls, Theresa Maranda of Livermore, Lorraine Cote of Jay, Patricia Nadeau of Wayne, Anita Couture of Livermore Falls, Claudette Lemelin, of Livermore, Margaret Williamson of N. Y., and Pauline Dion of Jay; a brother-in-law, Raymond Henry of Livermore; three grandchildren, Victoria Nolette, Samanthan Slovak, and Brandon Case; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Ann Henry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 14 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 13 at 1-3 p.m., at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls. The Daughters of Isabella will meet at the funeral home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls.

“ Roger F. Castonguay

Farmington - Roger F. Castonguay, 80, a resident of Franklin Road in Jay, died Tuesday, June 20, at Sandy River Nursing Home, where he had been a patient for six months. He had previously been a resident of d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston for six months before moving to Farmington.

He was born April 14, 1926, in Jay, the son of Pierre and Carmelle (Labine) Castonguay and was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II.

On Oct. 27, 1952, he married the former Irene Boucher of Jay. He worked for International Paper Co. and James River Paper Co. at Otis Mill in Jay as a maintenance supervisor, retiring in 1988.

He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the I. P. Quarter Century Club.

He is survived by his way of Jay; two brothers and their wives, Rene and Anita Castonguay of Jay and Paul and Barbara Castonguay of Livermore; eight sisters, Patricia Nadeau of Livermore, Lorraine Cote of Jay, Pauline Dion and her husband, Alex, of Jay, Marguerite Williamson and her husband, Earl, of New York, Claudette Lemelin and her husband, Alcide, of Livermore, Anita Couture and her husband, Giles, of Livermore Falls, Theresa Maranda of Livermore and Jacqueline Mercier and her husband, David, of Livermore Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
