Notes for Joseph-Omer GUIDRY
In 1901 Edouard Guidry worked on his own account (for himself) and employed his son Joseph-Pierre-Edouard Guidry in his shoemaking business. He and Joseph-Pierre-Edouard worked twelve months the previous year. Edouard earned $600 dollars and Joseph-Pierre-Edouard earned $300. The mother tongue (language) of all members of the family was French. The only child in school was Joseph-David-Télesphore who attended eight months the previous year. He could read and write and could speak English and French.
