I started using my mom's last name when I was 10 because I figured if my dad wasn't around to carry our name with pride, then I wasn't going to do it for him. Yes…I was a very strong willed stubborn kid lol. It drove everyone crazy how much I could logically state my opinions, even at the age of 10.
