‘ Mrs. Edward LaBean died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. McWharter, at the ripe old age of ninety five years. She was the mother of ten children, all of whom survive her. They are David, Frank, Joseph, Peter, and Daniel LaBean, and Mrs. W. Frankhouse, Mrs. Joe Bowen, Mrs. Frank Tatro, and Mrs. Peter McWharter. She is also survived by a brother, Frank, Detroit, who is 92 years of age. Mrs. LaBean was born in France and crossed to Canada in 1819, to Michigan during the Civil War, and has been a resident of Piconning 35 years. Later we learned she had 102 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. The funeral services were held at St. Michael’s Church Tuesday morning. ‘

‘ Edwidge LaBean, 87 years, died Sunday, February 17, 1918 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter (Susanne) McQuarter. She had been a resident of the Pinconning Area for 35 years. She was born January 4, 1831 at St. Jacques, Montcalm Co., Quebec to the late Pierre Senever and Marie Angelique Beaudry.
In 1840 the family moved to Monroe County, Michigan where she married Jean Baptiste Labine on November 7, 1848 in St. Mary Church, Monroe. The became the parents of seventeen children, nine survive her: Mrs. Louis (Rosalie) Frankhouse, Francis John “Frank” (Melenisse) “Minnie” LaBean, Mrs. Francis “Frank” (Marie Desanges) Tatro, David (Josephine) LaBean, Joseph (Mary Lea) Labine, Peter (Therese) LaBean, Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) Bowen, Mrs. Peter (Susan) McQuarter, and Daniel (Elizabeth) LaBean. A brother, Francis “Frank” Senever, River Rouge, Michigan who is 80 years old. She was preceded by three husbands, Jean Baptiste Labine, Joseph Martin and Louis Sampson and children, Sophranie, Alphonse Olivier, Jacob, Elisa, Marie Octavie, Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) Brancheau, one unnamed and one stillborn child. Also surviving are 102 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. The funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 19, at St. Michael Church with burial in the church cemetery. ‘

Mr. Frankhouse was well known in the Fourth Precinct where he had resided for many years. He is survived by a widow, Rose Frankhouse and the following children: John, Albert, Louis Jr., Henry, Francis, Fred, Mrs. William Cooley and Mrs. Ora Mowray all of Monroe. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Church, 2nd & Kentucky Ave., Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock with the Rev. Fr. Michael J. O’Rilley officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Monroe. “

“ LaSalle, March 24, John J. Frankhouse of 4752 North Shore Road, LaSalle, died in Monroe Hospital yesterday at 10:20 pm. He had been in ill health following a stroke 13 years ago and seriously ill the last two weeks.
He was born in Newport, November 24, 1878 (sic 1875) the son of Mr. & Mrs. Louis Frankhouse. He worked at the Deinzer Furniture Company a number of years before joining the Monroe police force in 1905. He served on the force for 18 years, the last six as chief of police. He then transferred to the fire department, retiring following the stroke 13 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Clara, seven sons all at home, Raymond, John Jr., Donald, Orlie, Kenneth, Charles and Michael. Four daughters all at home. Betty, Margaret, Geraldine and MIldred. Five brothers, Bert, Louis, Henry, Francis, all of Monroe and Fred of River Rouge, and a sister Mrs. William Cooley of Monroe.
The body is at the Allore Beam and Weber mortuary with service to be held Monday at 9 AM from St. Joseph Catholic Church. Internment will be St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. “

“ Francis J. Frankhouse, 65, of 8456 E. Dunbar Rd. died of cerebral embolism at 2 p.m. yesterday in Riverside Osteopathic Hospital at Trenton. He was admitted to the hospital Sunday.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the Allore Funeral Home and at 9 in St. John Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8 tonight and tomorrow night.
The son of Louie and Rose Frankhouse, he was born Aug. 7, 1896, at Monroe. He married Mabel March Sept. 5, 1915, at Monroe. He served in World War I. An employee of River Raisin Paper Co. for 35 years, he retired last August. He had worked in the box department of the company. He was a member of St. John Church.
He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, Sidney, Ralph and Donald, all of Monroe; 5 daughters, Mrs. Eunice White of Toledo, Mrs. Ralph Edwards of Portland and Mrs. Robert Grodi, Mrs. Robert Poupard and Mrs. Robert Shock, all of Monroe; a brother Louis of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. “

Henry Voss and Agnes Frankhouse were married on 18 August 1891 in Bay City, Bay County, Michigan by Father S. J. Rosh, a Catholic Priest. His parents were William Voss and Marie Flegel. Her parents were Louis Frankhouse and Rosale Lebene (Labine). Henry Voss was 24 years olds and was born in Germany. Agnes Frankhouse was 18 years old and born in Michigan. Henry was a laborer when he married while Agnes was a domestic. Neither had been previously married. They received their marriage license on 17 August 1891. The witnesses to their marriage were Louis Frankhouse and Severe E. Bellmer - both of Bay City, Michigan.

Mrs. Rosele Frankhouse, aged 85 years, died in her home at 1136 Eat Eighth Street this morning after a lingering sickness. Her death was caused by old age and complications. Mrs. Frankhouse had lived in Monroe for a great number of years and was well known in the eastern part of the city where she resided for many years. The body has been removed to the Webber undertaking parlors awaiting funeral arrangements. Mrs. Frankhouse leaves the follows sons and daughters, Albert, John, Fred, Francis, Louis and Henry, Mrs. William Cooley and Mrs. Clark Murray, all of Monroe. “
